Mr. Ajayi is the Executive Chairman of Bojay Nigeria Limited, a position he assumed in January 2007 after his retirement from UAC of Nigeria Plc as the Managing Director/CEO in December 2006.

A fellow of both the Nigerian Institute of Management and the Nigerian Institute of Personnel Management, he is also a council member of Nigeria Employers' Consultative Association, The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Vice President and Council Member of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria. He has attended many development programmes and has also served on the Boards of various Companies in various capacities such as that of UACN Property Dev. Co. Plc and Tractor and Equipment Nig Limited. He was until 2007 the Chairman of the Board of General Motors Nigeria Limited, Warm Spring Waters Nigeria Limited and the Board of Trustees, Unico Pension Fund respectively.

Since retiring from UAC of Nigeria Plc, he has been invited to join the Boards of Tractor & Equipment (T& E) Nig Ltd and Standard Alliance Insurance Plc.
